How to Purple your Profiles

For those who missed it, Chevrolet had a Super Bowl commercial ( can I say “super bowl commercial”? ),  that pledged to donate $1 to the American Cancer Society for every profile they find on Facebook or Twitter with a Purple Profile image.

So to make sure your profile gets counted go to: http://www.chevrolet.com/purple-roads-world-cancer-day.html link your Twitter and Facebook accounts to the Chevy app. Then check your profile to make sure your picture has been updated.

Amusing X-men

Recently started reading Marvel’s: Uncanny X-men series from 2012. There’ve only been 8 issues so far, so it’s hard to condemn or condone the series so far. So if you’re an X-men fan and you’re trying to decide whether you should read, All New X-men, Uncanny Avengers, Uncanny X-men, Uncanny X-Force,  Wolverine & the X-men or Ultimate X-men, this isn’t the right place for you.

However, here’s an exchange between the X-men and the Avengers from Uncanny X-men #3 that I found very entertaining:

iOS7 first impression

I recently got my hands on a copy of the Developer Release of iOS7 and tested it out on an iPhone 4. Here are a few photos of the installation process and the new home screen.

Overall I have to say I am not impressed.

I think the hype surrounding these icons is completely overblown. To me it comes across as a desperate attempt by Apple to play catch up with the flat look that Windows has coined.

Phone gets some Marvelous New Wallpapers

Made new wallpapers for my Galaxy S3 based on some Marvel artwork I wish I could claim was my own.

This Avengers Lock Screen based on a desktop wallpaper created by David Lanham:

I think it fits nicely with my Daredevil Home Screen Wallpaper. This is based off a panel from Daredevil vol. 3 Issue #25 (Which, if you haven’t read it, I’d highly recommend it)

If you’re interested in a copy, here are the originals without my phone icons on them. Again they are sized for a Samsung Galaxy SIII (1280×768).
